The Bachelorette Season 20 Star Charity Lawson Reveals If She Fell In Love With Multiple Men

The Bachelorette season 20 star Charity Lawson began her journey with 25 men, and now she’s revealing if she fell in love with more than one of them. Charity, a 27-year-old child and family therapist from Columbus, Georgia, got her start in Zach Shallcross’ Bachelor season. Although they had a strong connection, Zach eliminated her after her hometown date, before the Fantasy Suites. Later, when host Jesse Palmer offered her the role of the Bachelorette, Charity happily accepted. She saw it as a second chance to find her true love and an opportunity to set an example for little girls who look like her.

In an interview with Extra, Charity admitted to falling in love with more than one man during The Bachelorette season 20. She shared that being the Bachelorette was the most difficult thing that she’s ever done because it was so “emotionally taxing.” Charity revealed, “You see me obviously vocalize being in love with two people. It’s a lot, so I never obviously imagined that I would be in the position for that to happen, but it happens.” She confessed that it was “so, so scary” and “so weird” to have strong feelings from “multiple people.”

The Bachelorette‘s Charity Lawson shared that her work as a therapist helped her as the lead. She explained that she credits a lot of her coping mechanisms, her “ability to regulate my emotions in high-intense moments,” to her career. She added, “I think I have a little bit of an insight of how to approach people, how to approach conversations. I pride myself on being an active listener, good communicator.” Although Charity confessed that she some difficult moments in which she doubted her Bachelorette eliminations a couple of times, she said, “We will say we’re happy with how the season turns out.”

Charity was the perfect choice for The Bachelorette season 20. She is self-aware, drama-free, and truly serious about finding her husband. During Zach’s season, she proved that she was genuine and handled herself with grace and dignity the whole time. She didn’t allow the other women to pull her into their drama, even when Christina Mandrell questioned why Charity received a group date rose. Charity also didn’t argue with Kat Izzo when she pulled Zach away for a chat and a kiss before his one-on-one date with her. It’s obvious that she has a deep understanding of human nature that most certainly stems from her background as a therapist.

Like many Bachelorettes before her, Charity fell in love with more than one person. Hopefully, she was able to make a clear decision that led to an engagement. Charity admitted that she felt pressure to make the right decision because of the history of The Bachelorette. She followed her intuition to choose the best person for her. Based on her previous actions in Zach’s season, she seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Charity deserves to find her person and to begin her happily ever after with her one true love.

The Bachelorette season 20 premieres June 26 at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
