Oscar Isaac As Live-Action Spider-Man 2099 Joins Earth’s Mightiest Heroes In Avengers 6 Fan Art

Spider-Verse audience members already want Oscar Isaac back as Spider-Man 2099, but this time as his live-action counterpart, as pitched in spectacular Avengers: Secret Wars fan art. Following his debut in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Miguel O’Hara, voiced by Isaac, got a bigger spotlight in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, becoming a rival to Miles Morales. This marks the third major Marvel role in Isaac’s acting career after having played Apocalypse in X-Men: Apocalypse and Moon Knight in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It has barely been a month since Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse came out, and fans are already imagining more of Isaac as Spider-Man 2099, but this time in live-action. Heroemaniaco recently released a new fan art of what Isaac would look like as Spider-Man 2099 as a variant in Avengers: Secret Wars.

Isaac will reprise the role of Spider-Man 2099 in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which will wrap up Miles’ trilogy. Whether or not Miguel would be used in future Spider-Verse spinoff projects is unclear at this point.

Could Oscar Isaac Have Two Roles In Avengers: Secret Wars?

While there have never seemingly been any concrete plans to have Isaac play the live-action version of Spider-Man 2099, it would be very easy for Avengers: Secret Wars to have him play two roles in the film. With the concept of the multiverse, the MCU has already established that a variant can have different faces, in the case of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where there are three different actors portraying Peter Parker.

But in Isaac’s case, who is already playing Moon Knight, Avengers: Secret Wars could flip the script by revealing that in another universe, Spider-Man 2099 simply happens to also look like Oscar Isaac. This would set a precedent that could prove helpful for other cameos and multiversal appearances, such as if Chris Evans reprised the role of Human Torch from the original Fantastic Four films, despite his existing iconic MCU role as Captain America. Using this type of cameo could add both depth and comedy to Avengers: Secret Wars, as it would be fun to see how Moon Knight and Spider-Man 2099 would react to one another.

Given that Avengers: Secret Wars, along with several other Marvel movies, have been delayed, it will be quite some time until more details are given about the massive multiverse film in Phase 6. It has also not been revealed yet when Isaac will be back as Moon Knight, which is obviously what Marvel Studios would prioritize for him over playing another Marvel hero. For now, time will tell what will become of Avengers: Secret Wars as one of The Multiverse Saga’s most important chapters.
