Brie Larson Shares Fast X Set Video Of Filming Her Biggest Action Scene

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Fast X.

Fast X star Brie Larson shares a new post on Instagram of how she filmed and trained for Tess’ big bridge action sequence. Serving as the tenth main installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast X is directed by Louis Leterrier and sees Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto facing off against a new villain in the form of Jason Momoa’s Dante. The film assembles the franchise’s biggest cast yet, with Larson joining as Tess, the daughter of Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody.

Now, Larson has taken to Instagram to share a look at how Tess’ Fast X action scene came to life, with the star shown shooting a rifle and jumping onto cars in front of a large blue screen background. Check out Larson’s post below:

The scene in question takes place on the same bridge featured in Fast Five‘s climactic showdown, with Dom, Tess, and Aimes (Alan Ritchson) all converging for a big shootout. In her caption, Larson writes: “life advice: don’t mess with Tess ESPECIALLY when she has her big coat on.

What’s Next For Brie Larson’s Tess After Fast X?

Brie Larson confronts enemies in Fast X

It’s already been confirmed that Fast & Furious 11 is on the way, in addition to a potential Fast & Furious 12. Tess has been injured but remains very much alive at the end of Fast X, so it can be assumed that she will return for however the story continues. While almost no information has been revealed about the follow-up movie, the Fast X ending leaves several plot threads hanging.

In addition to leaving Dom’s fate (and the fate of some of his friends) in the balance, the Fast X ending also sees Dante in possession of God’s Eye, a hacking device that can be used for a variety of nefarious purposes. After recovering from her gunshot wound, it seems likely that Tess will do everything in her power to get this technology back to prevent further calamity. As the daughter of Mr. Nobody, Fast X may also be setting Larson’s character up for more of a leadership role as she follows in the footsteps of her mysterious father.

While the Fast X cast is the most impressive of the franchise, its size does mean that not every character gets to shine as much as they otherwise could. Tess, unfortunately, is a victim of this and doesn’t get to do all that much, something that future films could rectify. It remains to be seen how Tess’ story will continue to unfold after Fast X, but the character likely has an important role to play moving forward.
